new Edge360™ Technology brings advanced textual effects to 2D and 3D user
interfaces, applications and games. For example, text can be zoomed in and out
very quickly without having to re-render the text at the end of the zoom
process. Text can be rotated in three dimensions – all while retaining clarity
throughout the process.
Edge360 works with iType® 5.0 on devices equipped with OpenGL® ES-based hardware
acceleration technology, such as smartphones and tablets. With Edge360, which
uses patented rendering techniques of our Edge™
Technology, you’re able to integrate effects that can be handled in the
GPU (graphics processor unit), which frees the main processor to complete other
tasks. Text effects include the ability to:
